These individuals also must be trustworthy, responsible, and able to handle sensitive financial information. Bank jobs range greatly, and are not specific to just a bank teller.

A very important bank job is the assistant branch manager. This individual must be able to direct platform and teller activity, to provide efficient high quality customer service, achieve retail sales targets, and deliver that service profitably through a well-trained and motivated staff. Additionally employees holding these types of bank jobs must be able to uphold essential job functions, as well as additional responsibilities. To land a job like this, adequate college education and experience is required.

One of the more important bank jobs is that of the vice president of a bank or credit union. This bank job requires the ability to coordinate and supervise work scheduling and work flow of the credit union’s daily operations, within the established policies and guidelines of the President, Credit Union Bylaws, and any applicable statutes. The vice president must be able to work closely with the President, committees, and supervisors. Additionally, the vice president must be able to assume the responsibilities of the President in his absence. The vice president reports to the President and supervises the Supervisors of the following departments: teller, loan, accounting, marketing, data processing, and the secretary. This bank job requires that the vice president perform essential job functions, as well as additional responsibilities. An adequate college education and experience are required.

The Property/Casualty Agent is a bank job that requires the ability to sell insurance to protect homes, business properties, personal property, and automobiles against physical damage or liability judgments. Additionally, they must be able to deal with people on a daily basis.

The Senior Loan Adjuster one of the most important bank jobs of this century. The credit crunch has left many individuals unable to pay loans, forcing them into foreclosure. This bank job is under the direction of the loan adjustment department manager, who is responsible for the collection of the mortgage past due accounts and charge-off recovery. The most basic of all bank jobs is the recertification clerk job which requires the ability to review requests for precertification of services, obtain further information if needed, approve requests, and send potential denials to supervisor for further action. A bank job comes in many different forms and each decision made effects millions of people daily. Working in a bank can be stressful and rewarding at the same time. Bank workers have the ability to help a family buy or keep there home. They have the opportunity to allow a child a chance to go to school by providing loan assistance. Bank workers have the ability to keep a company afloat, and make it crumble. Banks are the establishments that run the world. Working in a bank gives a regular person the ability to make a significant difference.
